1. Transparency Statement

FurFans is built on a foundation of transparency. Every piece of character content on this Platform — every image, caption, chat message, and voice clip — is generated using artificial intelligence. No real human beings are depicted, photographed, filmed, recorded, or otherwise involved as performers in the creation of our content. We believe our community deserves to know exactly what they are engaging with, and we are proud of the technology behind our characters.

2. What Is AI-Generated

The following content categories on this Platform are generated using artificial intelligence:

• Character images: All visual depictions of characters are created using diffusion-based AI image generation models. These models generate original images from text descriptions and trained visual parameters. No photographs of real people are used as source material for character imagery.
• Character text and captions: All written content attributed to characters — including post captions, biographical descriptions, and story content — is authored by human writers or generated using large language models, or a combination of both.
• Chat and direct messages: Simulated direct message interactions with characters are generated in real time by large language models operating within defined character parameters. These are AI-generated responses, not messages from a real person.
• Voice content: When offered, character voice clips and audio messages are generated using AI voice synthesis technology. No real person's voice is used without authorization.

3. No Human Performers

This Platform does not employ, contract, or otherwise involve human performers in the creation of character content. The characters on this Platform are entirely fictional AI-generated entities. There is no one "behind" the character. The creative direction, content curation, and platform operation are handled by the Company's team, but the characters themselves exist only as AI-generated content.

4. Human Oversight

While content is generated by AI systems, every piece of content published on this Platform is reviewed and curated by human operators before it reaches subscribers. This human oversight ensures that all content meets our quality standards, complies with our content policies, and adheres to the community standards that define this Platform. AI generation is the tool; human judgment is the final gate.

5. Technology Overview

Our content creation process uses the following categories of AI technology:

• Image generation: We use diffusion-based image generation models, fine-tuned with custom-trained style parameters to maintain visual consistency for each character. Each character has a distinct trained visual identity that produces consistent, recognizable output across all generated images.
• Text generation: We use large language models to generate character dialogue, chat interactions, and some written content. These models are configured with detailed character profiles, personality parameters, and safety constraints to produce in-character responses.
• Voice synthesis: We use AI voice synthesis systems to generate character voice content, producing audio from text inputs configured with character-specific voice parameters.

All AI models used in our pipeline are licensed for commercial use by their respective developers. Specific model names, versions, and pipeline configurations are proprietary and not disclosed.

6. Character Fiction

All characters on this Platform are fictional creations. Each character has a defined name, species, personality, backstory, and world context that exists entirely within the fictional universe of the Platform. Any resemblance between a Platform character and any real person, living or deceased, is purely coincidental and unintentional. Characters are not modeled on, trained from, or intended to represent any specific real individual.

7. Copyright Status

The legal landscape regarding copyright protection for AI-generated visual works is evolving. Under current United States law, the copyrightability of works generated by artificial intelligence without sufficient human authorship is uncertain and subject to ongoing legal development. The Company claims ownership of its AI-generated content to the fullest extent permitted by law, including elements arising from human creative direction, curation, selection, and arrangement. This disclosure will be updated as applicable law develops.

8. User-Uploaded Content

While all character content is AI-generated, users may upload certain materials to the Platform (such as profile avatars and original character reference sheets). User-uploaded content is created by the users themselves and is not AI-generated by the Platform. Users retain ownership of their uploaded content as described in the Terms of Service.

9. Our Position

We believe that AI-generated content represents a new and exciting creative medium. FurFans was built to explore what's possible when artificial intelligence meets original character creation. We are committed to being transparent about our methods, responsible in our content policies, and honest with our community about how this Platform works.
